As a freelancer working with European partners, Chi’s life was almost completely upside down compared to everyone else’s. When the city lights came on, her workday was just beginning. To find people to talk to, she joined a “Global Night Owls” group on OVFRIENDS.
There, she met John from America, a programmer also grinding on a deadline; Lena from Germany, a nurse on a night shift; and Fuji from Japan, a taxi driver. They came from different cultures, separated by up to 9 time zones, yet they all shared the same waking hours.
Every night, they did more than just chat. They shared their work pressures, stories from their shifts, and the music that kept them awake.
Later, the podcast “While Others Dream” was born. It was their small project, a gift for the sleepless around the world, recorded and broadcast right in their OVFRIENDS group.
