I am just an amateur digital artist. I posted some of my work on OVFRIENDS, in a group for artists, hoping to get some feedback to improve.
An Italian architect named Claudio commented under my painting of a sunset: “The color palette you used reminds me of a sunrise in Venice.”
That sentence started a wonderful artistic friendship. He sent me photos of ancient Italian architecture, and I used them as inspiration for my drawings. I sent him my drawings of Vietnam, and he said they gave him ideas for color and light in his designs.
Since then, we have painted hundreds of skies together, from the canals of Venice to the rice fields of Vietnam. There were no boundaries between the pixels on the screen and the memories we shared.
