Succulents are one of the most popular mini ornamental plants today. The plant has a compact size, with fleshy leaves arranged in a shape resembling a lotus flower, which is why it is called "stone lotus" in Vietnamese. This plant has good drought tolerance, is easy to grow, and does not require too much care. Therefore, succulents are often placed on study desks, workspaces, balconies, or decorated in living spaces to create a fresh, green, and relaxing feeling.

Besides their unique beauty, succulents are also famous for their enduring vitality. Even in harsh environmental conditions, the plant can still thrive if cared for properly. For this reason, succulents have become a popular choice for beginners in plant growing.

Currently, there are many varieties of succulents with different shapes and colors. Some commonly grown types include:

Rose succulent: Leaves arranged like a rose flower, green or slightly pink at the edges.

Brown succulent: Thick leaves with a characteristic purple-brown color, very easy to recognize.

Burro's tail: Small leaves, growing in long, beautifully cascading chains.

Jade plant: Round, glossy green leaves, often grown as a feng shui plant.

Diamond succulent: Leaves have a slight gloss, looking very striking when catching the light.

Each type of succulent has its own beauty, so many people like to collect and grow various kinds. Succulents need natural sunlight for about 4 - 6 hours a day. If placed indoors, the plant should be exposed to mild sunlight regularly. Only water when the soil is dry, usually about 2 - 3 times a week depending on the weather. Avoid overwatering as the plant is prone to root rot. Succulents are suitable for airy environments that are not too humid. Diluted fertilizer can be applied periodically about once every 1 - 2 months to help the plant grow better. Keep the soil dry and the pot well-ventilated to prevent fungi or pests. If cared for properly, succulents can live a very long time and grow into many beautiful branches.

Not only are they decorative plants, but succulents also carry many special meanings. This plant symbolizes endurance, resilience, and strong vitality. In friendship and love, succulents are often seen as a symbol of long-lasting attachment and loyalty.

Additionally, many people believe that placing succulents on a desk or indoors can bring good luck, positive energy, and a sense of relaxation. Therefore, succulents are often chosen as gifts for friends, relatives, or colleagues on special occasions.
