An American travel magazine announced a list of the 11 most spectacular cable car experiences in Asia, in which Vietnam is the only country to feature three locations.
Out of a total of 11 representatives published by Travel + Leisure travel magazine on March 4 in the list of cable car systems with the most spectacular views in Asia in 2026. Vietnam dominates in quantity with three cable car systems located in three key tourist centers. The first location is the Hon Thom cable car in Phu Quoc, a structure holding the Guinness World Record for the longest three-rope sea-crossing cable car in the world with a total length of nearly 8 km.
The American magazine highly praises the ability to observe the marine ecosystem in detail from the cabin, including coral reefs, coastal fishing villages, and the An Thoi archipelago during the journey lasting about 15 minutes.
The next representative is the Ba Na Hills cable car in Da Nang, a system recognized for its ability to connect directly from the plains to the peak of Chua Mountain at an altitude of nearly 1,500 m. The cable car line impresses with primeval forest landscapes throughout its length of over 5 km.
The third location is the Vinpearl cable car in Nha Trang, recognized for its panoramic viewing value of Nha Trang Bay and its ability to connect the mainland with offshore tourist islands.
