One of the most frustrating and confusing experiences for modern people is going to bed on time, maintaining a strict sleep routine, and getting the recommended seven to eight hours of sleep every night, only to wake up feeling sluggish, mentally foggy, and completely drained of energy. This persistent fatigue is often mistakenly attributed to laziness or simply not getting enough sleep.

However, from the perspective of modern medicine, sleep is not a continuous block of unconsciousness, and the number of hours you sleep is only the tip of the iceberg. The phenomenon of “getting enough sleep but still feeling tired” can actually be a complex warning sign, reflecting severely impaired sleep quality, unhealthy lifestyle habits, or even an underlying medical condition silently developing within the body.
