We used to be the “every Saturday at the bar” group of friends. But eventually, everyone grew tired of the loud and expensive outings.
We decided to meet on OVFRIENDS on Saturday nights in a group video call. One person in Hanoi, one in New York, one in Berlin. We would fold paper cranes while telling each other the small stories of our week.
After a month, we gathered all the paper cranes, sent them to a common address, and then together brought them to the pediatric patients at the city hospital.
Our Saturday meetup is now not just a get-together, but also our way of sending a little hope to those who truly need it.
