I was born and raised in a small village in Sa Pa. My life is tied to the terraced fields and the weekend markets. I learned about OVFRIENDS from a tourist and tried sharing simple photos of my life. I never expected that this simplicity would attract so many international friends. They asked me about how to weave brocade and about the meaning of the patterns on our clothes. In return, I got to “travel through the screen,” hearing stories about skyscrapers in America and beaches in England. Even though I’ve never left my village, I feel like I have a whole world to explore, right from my own home, through the stories of my friends from afar.
